India beat Belgium 3-2
Two goals from Sandeep Singh and one from Rajpal Singh sealed the game as well as the test series against Belgium in the second test that was played in Antwerp.
This win has got India 1-0 lead in the series and the team can now go for the kill in the final test match.
PC expert Sandeep Singh scored a brace from his penalty corner and Rajpal Singh Added another, helping India win 3-2 in the match.
Goalkeeper Bharat Chetri also played a great part in the game and he saved a penalty stroke in the match.
Sandeep Singh scored his goals in 26th minute and 67th minute while Rajpal Singh scored in 39th minute.
Belgium started the game in top gear and they won a penalty corner in 3rd minute.Belgium converted the penalty corner to a stroke but a fine save by Bharat Chetri. Belgium scored their goals in 10th minute and 55th minute.
Indian team was not up to it best as they were losing possession easily. Trapping was also poor in the early stages in the game.
Second half saw emergence of Prabodh Tirkey, Gurbaj Singh and Ajitesh Roy who held the midfield and started moving the ball well. India won 4 penalty corners and converted two, while Belgium had 3 and they could not convert any.
Both the field goals from Belgium points out the defensive problems in the team. Sandeep Singh though a fine player is not able to do his defensive duties a justice. Wide gaps in the the defense helped Belgium score two goals.
On the offensive side, only Rajpal Singh is doing all the hard work. Shivender Singh's injury is causing a problem for the team as no other forward is rising up to the occasion and helping the score board.
Also team is depended on the penalty corners and if Sandeep Singh had one bad game, it could cause problems for the team.
India has still one test match to play and will try to solve out their problems which might prove costly in Asian Games and CWG Games
